When a channel is labeled DFS, it indicates another wireless network is utilizing it, usually radar systems. It's best to steer clear of those frequencies.

This wasn't an issue the previous year. Every reputable channel is DFS, which is why I'm feeling quite disappointed right now. Thanks for the clear response.

From what I understand, weather radar operates in the 5 GHz frequency range. If a nearby radar station is close by, you could experience interference. The safest approach is to try various channels and determine which one works best.
