You're looking for affordable Ethernet and Wi-Fi cards under $100. A solid option would be a basic USB Ethernet adapter, often available for around $20-$40. For Wi-Fi, consider budget models like the TP-Link Archer AX530 or similar entry-level routers with built-in Wi-Fi. These should work well as backups for your PC setup. Let me know if you need more details!

Check the Asus PCE-N series Wi-Fi cards closely. The PCE-N15 supports speeds up to 300Mbps. I purchased it for £15 on Amazon and have found it to be dependable and easy to use.

Because it's a backup, you don't need to invest more than $50 and install it through PCIE. I'd choose this option; https://www.tp-link.com/us/products/deta...-T2UH.html It works well for my gaming PC with a 300MB download plan and is used daily.

It looks like you're trying to understand why someone might buy a router to ease their decision-making process. What model are you considering?
