They’re larger antennas improve coverage generally, though near the router it still doesn’t help much. For faster speeds, you’ll likely need Wi-Fi 5 or better.

You can buy a Wi-Fi card for 150 dollars, but you can also find one for just 20 dollars on USB. There are also decent options available.
