I've encountered a curious issue that doesn't seem like a major concern. I'm using ATT 1000 fiber internet with the provided hardware, running it in pass-through mode to a Nighthawk RAX48 via a CAT6 cable. When testing speeds through the ATT app, I consistently see 900-1000 Mbps with about 10ms latency. However, when testing on the same website using my PC connected via Ethernet (CAT6), the speed drops to around 500 Mbps. If I switch to Wi-Fi, I get 800-900 Mbps. I'm not sure what's happening but it's been puzzling me for a while. My PC specs are: ASRock B650e PG Riptide WiFi CPU, Corsair Vengeance 64GB DDR5 6000MHz GPU, and 12GB RAM. I'm trying to figure out possible fixes, but I feel like I have enough information to be cautious yet unsure what's going on.
Check if the cable connects directly to the router or if it passes through any switches.
) the Wi-Fi is quicker than Ethernet, and it seems companies are pushing for faster connections. It's similar to how wireless mice respond faster than wired ones. Just don't rely solely on my opinion—maybe I'm mistaken...
I've noticed this at my grandparents' place (their tech enthusiasts

not sure if its a typo but im talking router not mouse. My wifi is faster than the ethernet cable which youre right doesnt make sense im trying to find out why
I answered zombiepunk10 about wireless mice offering lower latency than wired ones. Wired tends to be faster when devices are well-designed, since converting signals into radio waves and retrieving data involves many challenges like reflections and interference. A small difference might go unnoticed with a good wireless mouse, though I’ve experienced occasional stutters. Back to the main point—have you tried a different cable or updated your network adapter drivers?
I noticed the oversight, I only use Logitech Lightspeed mice and don’t see a difference between wired and wireless. I changed the cable to a fresh Cat 6 one, drivers and BIOS are all current on both the router and ISP equipment.
I see you're checking if Killer software is installed. It's common for it to perform well and enhance performance.
Attempted swapping both cables—one from the ATT box to RAX48, another from RAX48 to the PC. If the issue remains unresolved, another factor might be at play. Did you assemble your PC yourself? Were the Mobo drivers updated to the newest version? Have you experimented with connecting the PC directly to the ATT router prior to enabling bridge mode?
