My Ubiquiti equipment shows surprisingly high latency, even when many other devices are connected. If this is real, then those who say APs slow down gaming likely haven’t tested it themselves—maybe they just follow the advice of someone at subway wearing a polyester hat. I believe WiFi works well in dense spaces, and I don’t face these problems. If you’re experiencing issues in an apartment with devices 20-30 feet away, the issue probably lies elsewhere—like between your keyboard and chair or a poor ISP connection.
