It’s similar to wondering if upgrading your GPU means you need a new CPU. We can’t say for sure without knowing your existing setup. Could you tell me what router you’re using, the Wi-Fi card you plan to install, and your budget?

Are you working on tasks that depend on fast Wi-Fi 6 performance over long distances? Do you need to change positions frequently for these activities, or can you stay in one spot easily? Which wireless technology are you using—Wi-Fi Acoustic, Wi-Fi N, Wi-Fi Gigabit, or another?

Are you expecting a slight boost in performance or are you already getting close to the speed your current router provides via Wi-Fi? If yes, then the upgrade won’t offer much value beyond an unnecessary expense. With multiple Wi-Fi 6 devices, the situation improves, but using just one AX client on the network means you won’t see significant gains—so investing in a high-quality AX router isn't justified at this time.

I'm using a Wi-Fi USB adapter right now. I need the Wi-Fi 6 card that fits with my Sky Q Hub router.

I don't have a direct connection to measure your internet speed. You can check it using your router's settings or a speed test website.

USB devices aren't always top-notch, so a regular card should work just fine. You probably won't need Wi-Fi 6, but it could be useful later if the price matches your expectations. Bluetooth performance might vary—read reviews and keep drivers updated.

Ping measures 11 milliseconds, download speed reaches 30 megabits per second, and upload maintains 27 megabits per second.

So you're saying no need for Wi-Fi 6?
