I've been attempting to play Minecraft on my old machine, but it crashes every 1 to 10 minutes. Since my computer lacks 802.11ac support, I switched to using the 2.4 GHz band on my main device. The Wi-Fi still functions when it reconnects. What causes this behavior and how can I fix it?

Consider updating the drivers or checking if a different Wi-Fi card is required.

It appears a fresh installation resolved the issue temporarily.
