What exactly are we discussing? Linking to Wi-Fi doesn't provide access to the router's credentials. The admin username and password are required for that.

Ensure your router from IPS doesn't allow control over device access to settings or completely blocks Wi-Fi connections. Most connected devices can reach the settings if you remember the password. I’m considering an Asus model but favor a simple, clean router without third-party modifications.
