Wi-Fi 5 vs Wi-Fi 6
Wi-Fi 5 vs Wi-Fi 6
Wi-Fi 6 offers greater speed and enhanced security compared to Wi-Fi 5. The claim about Wi-Fi 5 lacking protection against brute force attacks is incorrect; both standards have security features, but Wi-Fi 6 includes additional layers designed to strengthen resistance against such attacks.
WiFi 6 brought in WPA3, offering a more robust encryption method. Claiming WiFi 5 lacks any defense against brute force password attacks is unrealistic. WPA2 performed adequately for that purpose and worked well with WiFi 5.
One again... where did you hear that? So many questions start with "I heard that...". I'd love to know where so we can correct them, at the source. WiFi6 is better, but Wifi 5 isn't bad in any way. At some point, we're just upgrading to upgrade. WiFi 5 at my house all day.
Unfortunately since version 5, the speed and performance of Wi-Fi 5 have changed significantly. The same trend continues with Wi-Fi 6 and the upcoming versions.
I saw information about Wi-Fi 6 and it offers stronger protection against brute force password attacks. It also makes it very difficult to decrypt data before the password is cracked.
The phrasing matters. Just because something is improved doesn't imply the earlier version was flawed.
What is this about? It seems your neighbor has something to do with maintaining strong security for Wi-Fi 5. Are they connected to government agencies like the CIA or NSA, using powerful computing resources for testing? And isn’t there really no supercomputer in existence?
In an apartment complex, it's a common situation where people attempt to crack Wi-Fi passwords either for free access or to steal sensitive information such as credit card details. It's often found that networks are left open without proper security measures, which raises serious concerns.
