Hello, I'm just trying to figure this out after years of frustration. When I attempt to disable Wi-Fi, it seems to reconnect automatically without me doing anything—even when I enable airplane mode. This issue also appears in Windows 11. I've checked various forums, but the advice doesn't seem helpful. The link you shared isn't working for me either. I need a solution where clicking the Wi-Fi button fully turns off the network instead of letting it reconnect on its own. Windows 7 and 8 don't handle this problem well either.

Notice the blue Wi-Fi icon in the lower left corner, press it to switch it off.
