Why would you avoid purchasing the Lenovo LOQ 15 screen?
I purchased a Lenovo LOQ 15, model 82XV002LUS for the keyboard, ports, expandability, and value. It’s being used to replace a slow desktop laptop. Not a gamer, but at this price I haven’t found a 16" or even a 15" with all the features I’d expect. I got the LOQ for $630 plus tax and can return it by Friday.
From my research so far, I’m likely to be satisfied except for the screen. I plan to do some light video editing but don’t need full RGB in all areas.
My questions are twofold:
1) I believe I can adjust the graphics settings and use ClearType to improve clarity and color accuracy on the display. If you think this is unnecessary compared to buying a better laptop, please explain why.
2) Do you think it’s worth returning and purchasing again around Presidents’ Day for something suitable for light gaming?
Thanks for any feedback.
Cheers,
Mac
Hey there,
Is this the same model? :

Yes, it has a dGPU with an RTX3050 6gb. It's suitable for light gaming and can handle a bit more at 1080p. It features 8 cores and 12 threads, which allows it to tackle more demanding tasks.
