I understand your curiosity, though I haven’t used Uplay before. Today was my birthday, and I downloaded Watch Dogs for Uplay.

It's a waste of time and doesn't work, it's all made by Ubisoft.

Similar to Origin, it's merely a shop with a flawed friend system and it frequently fails. It feels completely pointless.

Occasionally I prefer Origin over Steam. Still, I acknowledge Steam offers the best overall experience—it's more than just a platform with random offerings like uplay is. Origins is improving, but it generally doesn’t match Steam in most areas. I tend to use Outcome, which means I rarely need to launch Origin after downloading or installing anything.

Origin often uploads at about 30 megabytes each second. I don't understand the method, but it seems to work.

I believe speed matters too. I downloaded Titanfall using a 802.11g network at 30MB/s.

This setup works well. With a 50Mbps link, you should see better performance compared to slower connections like the one for Origin.

Uplay works well for gaming and other activities, though it isn't as powerful as Steam. It's suitable for playing games like Far Cry 3 and Blood Dragon, and I didn't face major issues despite the limitations.
