Why should I change Windows 11 to act like Linux, where it needs permission to do things?
I would like to do the same on my Windows 11 installation, to prompt me for my pin or password whenever I want to install something or do something weirder, just for security. Where I work, this is already so, you can't install anything, or even acces some settings, without having the admin password. How can I do the same?

I really appreciate you saying so much, because it sounds like that's exactly what I need. But right now I only have Windows 11 Home, which doesn't seem to have all these extra features. I'm going to try upgrading when the next install prob comes along. Thanks!
It's easy. Just make a new user called Local Standard and use that every single day. Whenever I need to add anything, it will always ask for my password from the admin. All of my tools are like this. The Local Standard account is what I use most often. The Admin account is just used for real work stuff.
