This significantly impacts performance not just through quicker graphics, but because Ryzen chips employ Infinity Fabric for communication between cores. This fabric relies heavily on memory bandwidth, so upgrading to dual-channel memory delivers noticeable gains alongside the CPU improvements.

You can add an 8GB stick if your PC supports it, but it depends on the motherboard compatibility. For RAM, check if your system uses DDR3 or DDR4—most modern PCs use DDR4, so you’d need to install DDR4 modules. Make sure the new stick matches the speed and type required by your motherboard.

Consider upgrading to a 16GB module or switch to 2x8GB units. DDR3 isn’t compatible with your motherboard and will be too slow compared to DDR4.
