You shouldn't just execute random commands without knowing their purpose. Regarding wine, it doesn't appear as a standard desktop app; the core tool is a command-line utility. For a visual interface, you might explore playonlinux or lutris.

IK this does at least partially. It includes the 32-bit architecture support needed for Wine. From what I've seen, Wine doesn't come with a graphical interface, which isn't what I'm after. However, it should appear when you open an .exe through the Open menu. Currently, when I try to launch the executable, it uses the built-in archive manager.
