You're experiencing discrepancies between BIOS, Windows, and CINABENCH results despite similar settings on your MSI A320. Check the hardware configuration and voltage references to identify the source of the inconsistency.

Overclocking isn't possible with the a320 chipset; use x370 or b350 instead

The mb has oc settings even though it can't be overclocked, as all motherboards come with OC options, but they don't mention the ability to overclock for that chipset.

You're asking about purchasing a Ryzen CPU with an unlocked chipset on the B350 motherboard. The B350 supports overclocking and uses an AM4 socket compatible with the Ryzen lineup.

Could you clarify if you're asking about comparing the B350 Mini ITX board support and pricing with the Rizen 5?

GraySenshi:
The decision between a mini ITX board and the Rizen 5 depends on your budget and intended use. For multitasking, gaming, or performance needs, the Ryzen 1600 is better. But for work tasks, the mini ITX is preferable since Intel only offers up to four cores.

I think the maximum I can afford is around $200. I already own a z170-hd3, and if I spend too much, I might as well switch to something like the 6600k.

The setup functions mainly as a secondary computer for home media, portable tasks, and certain 1080p games. I intend to stream using Elgato for recording.
