Hey everyone, hope someone can help me too. I run an internet service for 500 GBP. My computer is connected via a desk-top hard-wired Cat5e Ethernet port on a desktop that is less than a year old; this PC itself isn't the problem. I have an older Arris TM1602 which is waiting to be upgraded but is rated for up to 460 Mbps. I also have an older Linksys EA6100 with Gigabit LAN and WAN ports, but per the specs, neither of these routers deals with Wi-Fi; they are hard-wired only. Here is my problem: when connected from my PC to the Arris TM1602, I get 460 Mbps. When connected to the Linksys, I only get 80 Mbps. I've tried both Cat5e cables straight from my PC to the cable modem and they all give me 460 Mbps after testing three times in a row with each speed. Ping and latency are very close between tests. Is there a setting I am missing? Or is this just a fact that no router will work hard-wired directly to a cable modem and get the correct speeds rated?

I checked the manual and saw it says those Blue Fast Ethernet (10/100) ports are working perfectly. But my computer can't use them because of a limitation in my own gear.

Yeah, I just figured out I talked to Linksys and they said those are the good ports. Oh right, time for router upgrade thanks everyone!
