I’m facing issues installing Windows 10 on a laptop that already has Windows 8 installed. A valid product code doesn’t work, and using just a key isn’t helping. The error message suggests checking the installation sources and restarting. It seems unclear why the process fails without a license or proper setup.

Accessing the OEM key from the bottom of the laptop can help you unlock it.

Did you attach the ISO to a USB drive? Which key are you attempting to press? Have you purchased a fresh Windows 10 installation?

I received the installation file from the "media creation tool" on Windows, placed it on a USB drive, which was recognized, using the key you provided. No further action needed.

They didn't consider it, but you could try transferring it using an external tool such as Rufus.

What is the correct key? It seems you're referring to the Windows 8 activation code. Remember, you can no longer use 7 or 8 keys for this purpose.
