Why is windows 10 so hard to use?
I think it should last a while, but it’s not a lasting fix. If you wait long enough for Windows 10 to settle in, you might skip some of the early troubles.
Windows 7 won’t receive a ten-year extension, so I’m moving to Windows 8.1 Pro like Luke is doing. I’m surprised he didn’t install the removal Windows 10 upgrade software.
It was never about installing software to cancel the upgrade, it was just not downloading it in the first place. I’m not sure how he and others were surprised by that.
Long before the upgrade update arrived, things were still working smoothly. I had to delete the update file before chaos began, but I was fine. I’ve been using Windows 7 for nearly ten years and Vista for three years during school—both were okay back then. I prefer Windows 7 more than anything, and I’m sure I’ll never switch to another OS again. I also think Windows 10 isn’t going to match the quality of Windows 7, so I’m definitely not using it.
PEBKAC, it's not the OS guy. You just sound like a meme about Windows 10 complaints.
Really? You're not getting it, are you? I just don't see why Windows 10 is such a hassle. Let's cut to the chase and stop wasting time.
Windows 10 behaves very much like Windows 7 in terms of functionality. The main issue is frustration over changes you don’t want to adopt, even if they’re positive. For auto-updates, consider upgrading to the Pro version and ensuring your connection isn’t metered. This usually prevents updates altogether.
It seems we've reached a stage where returning to Windows isn't feasible. The system will keep moving forward along its existing trajectory. For alternatives, consider sticking to older Windows versions or exploring various Linux distributions. Mac OS is also an option, though it might be a bit challenging for some users.
