I tried downloading Valorant on my laptop recently. After opening a file from Riot's site, the game doesn't install properly. I restarted my computer and opened it again, but even after that, the client starts up but the update for Vanguard stays stuck at 0.1 kb/s or won't download at all. I tried repairing everything, reinstalling the program, running other apps in the background (even though that helped others), and asking Riot support with my logs—they didn't help much either. Is there a way to fix this since it might not be a network problem?

What is your DNS server, and could it be blocking something for you?

I am using Google's DNS server, which is IP address 8.8.8.8.

What kind of computer do you have? Have you ever tried using a virtual private network (VPN) to get that game?

I have a HP 15 notebook where the specific model number was never stated. I also haven't used a VPN yet to see if it helps with whatever issue we're facing. Can you tell me if using a VPN will fix this for me?

It might happen, just like asking if a place is right or looking at a computer screen to see what video games work on it.

The game needs these specs, but I'm not sure if that means you can't play here. Let's try using a virtual private network instead.
