This situation is confusing, but you should be able to get DirectX back up again. After reinstalling Windows 10, make sure to reinstall DirectX from the official website or your preferred source. If issues persist, check for any pending updates or contact support for further help.

It seems like MS overlooked how many games depend on DirectX to function properly.

The package doesn't include every directX feature by default, and some titles need those components to function properly.

Relocated to Windows. Typically, applications add required components. Are there any instances of games or programs where adding this extra file helped fix problems?
