I tried increasing the multiplier to 14.5 on my CPU, but it didn't improve performance. I checked cpuz and still didn't see a speed boost. What's the best way to overclock a Pentium Dual Core E5500? Motherboard G A G41M with version 1.3.

if i lower the multiplier to 12 and fsb to 333, will it reach 4ghz? would it need higher voltage?
i previously overclocked to 3.30ghz with multiplier 14 and fsb 236, but experienced more crashes. i didn’t raise core voltage much.

boost the FSB until it fails, then move it back one step. My E8400 is running at about 3.3 GHz without adjusting the multiplier or voltage.
