Why Is my optical switch keyboard categorized as a mechanical keyboard ?
I received an Asus TUF Gaming K3 gen 2 Keyboard which features an optical switch instead of a mechanical one. On the packaging it mentions an optical mechanical switch. I understand that optical and mechanical switches are different. I just need a standard mechanical keyboard, not an optical one. Is an optical switch really considered a mechanical switch?

The switch on the keyboard you're interested in is an optical switch with a mechanical spring/leaf to mimic a traditional mechanical switch.
I'm just seeking a mechanical keyboard instead of an optical one.
