Why is my internet speed so slow on my pc???

He uses Wi-Fi right next to the router. My Ethernet connection is about 50 feet away and gives me around 350 Mbps, while you get roughly 850 Mbps with a hardline. Both use Cat 6 cables, but I haven’t found any Windows settings blocking high speeds. Your internet is advertised as 1000 Mbps—maybe there’s something else affecting performance.

Is the test running when no one else is connected, even with your friend? Ensure no other devices are uploading or downloading at the same time. The time of day matters—aim for off-peak hours.

I have two Ethernet connections—one from a Marvell AQC port and another from an Intel port. At the moment, I’m using the Intel one. I’m about to run a speed test before starting any downloads. Currently it’s showing 893 Mbps down. My system is an i9-10900k with 64 GB DDR4 RAM and a ROG Maximus XII Hero motherboard.

This was a trial with your router. The connection to your PC is much weaker, only reaching up to 350 Mbps.
