I mean, does it have two channels? If so, you won't get any lagging or stuttering. But wait, is it actually set up as one channel instead of two? That would make things shake and stutter. So I'm asking: is this one channel or two channels?

Don't worry, you got what's needed! Thanks for coming along with the extra RAM. Just keep background jobs low and avoid using your browser while gaming; that could cut down on some laggy feeling.

He only has one stick of RAM, so dual channel isn't possible. That said, adding more RAM and using two channels will definitely help and stop the stuttering.

Others are right here, but it feels like memory is getting full and swapping files are kicking in, which will slow things down. 16 gigabytes isn't enough for games these days, so I think you really need at least 32 gigabytes to play smoothly.
