Using an Ultimate plan means no hardware goes to sleep, so it stays awake all the time. The real problem might be your RAM. Your hard drive is full because your CPU uses it as extra memory while you game. Since 8GB of RAM fills up when playing games and doesn't work well with your system speed, that's why things get laggy and stuttery.

Could you actually turn up the speed of your CPU or another part in a computer that comes all pre-made? It might seem like a silly idea at first, though. I guess it could be right after all. Or maybe I was totally stupid because I was young and don't need to take my words too seriously.

Sure, give me all your details like this was asked by Lutfij. That way we can both get more help and support from each other.

I am really sorry, but could I please stay later? It is already one in the morning and I don't want my mom or dad to find out.

You're already getting slower when you just have a single stick of memory in your computer.

Here are my specs: I have an Intel Core i7 8700, running on a hp 844c motherboard with 1x8gb ram at 2666mhz. The ssd has 34.2GB free space while the hdd shows only 931GB free. My graphics card is an rtx 2070 and my power supply is hp 500w model dps-500ab-32a. This computer comes in a chassis called HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 790-09xx and runs on window 10 home. I also have an msi optix G27C4 monitor attached.

Hey again, As I mentioned before, the extra memory should definitely fix your problem right now. You have a powerful CPU and GPU, but your computer is just a bit slow because it only has 8GB of RAM. We can help by getting you some more RAM if you tell us which store you want to buy from.

I am planning to buy a new RAM stick. I started saving my money back in the beginning of this month, so now I have about twenty dollars left and it will probably take me seven months to finish. Thank you for replying; it really helps. I appreciate your time!

It might just be that the RAM timings aren't set right when you turn on your computer.

Maybe it happens, but you'd probably see blue screen errors if the RAM wasn't working right instead of just getting slow. All signs point to not having enough memory.
