Why is my frame rate low despite having a powerful computer?
Hello, I am not intending to waste anyone’s time. My system specifications include an NVIDIA GTX 1070, a Ryzen 3 1200 processor with 2400MHz Corsair RAM, a 500W PSU, an MSI A320M Pro V-Plus motherboard, and a 1TB HDD. I am experiencing frame rate fluctuations in CS:GO (ranging from 150 to 40 FPS) and GTA 5 (30-50 FPS), along with texture loading issues. My GPU temperatures reach a maximum of 80°C and my CPU reaches 71°C during stress tests, which are within acceptable limits (3200 in Heaven benchmark at 1600x900 with FPS above 110). My HDD and RAM have been thoroughly tested and are functioning correctly. These games were previously operating without issues, but the problems arose after discovering a Trojan on my system. I have run multiple antivirus scans and reinstalled Windows as described above. I have been using this setup for months, and I would appreciate assistance in resolving these issues.
That’s the kind of thing I was worried about and that's why the question was asked. This isn’t a gold-rated PSU, there’s no such actual rating provided for this PSU. It’s the run-of-the-mill garbage PSU that a dodgy manufacturer slapped the word gold on and painted gold. An actual 80 Plus Gold power supply would likely cost about five times as much as this. Even in the best-case scenario, in which it's the best PSU in the world and the specs are honest, there’s less than 300W available of +12V power. It's absolutely shocking that you…

Using only one stick of RAM forces your system to operate in single-channel mode, which negatively impacts performance. Ideally, you should utilize a matched pair to enable dual-channel operation. Ryzen processors benefit from faster RAM speeds, and your current 2400MHz configuration may be limiting its performance.
The games previously ran well, and I’m seeking to recover the lost performance.
