I've been enjoying CS:GO since June last year. Many people mention it can run on potatoes, but my setup has a dual-core i5 with hyperthreading and integrated graphics. I'm getting about 40 FPS even at the lowest settings—720p is very low. Do you have any advice to boost my FPS? If a potato could play CS:GO like I can, there might be an issue with my specs.

Choose a dedicated GPU instead of using built-in graphics. Purchase a more powerful PC if you're on a laptop, as this is the optimal approach. Edited February 18, 2016 by Colt_0pz

It's frustrating to admit, but your issue stems from using an i5 with built-in graphics, lacking a dedicated GPU, and running on a dual-core processor.

Consider using the -nod3dex command to potentially boost your FPS. Give it a try.

Wish I could but this is an all in one (that I didn't purchase). I still feel like the computer should be running csgo a little bit better.

It seems it lacks integrated graphics and runs on just two cores, making it unsuitable for gaming.

It's not that bad at all. Clear out a few running programs in Task Manager before starting to save space.

All settings adjusted to minimal levels. Game can run smoothly at 60-100fps on HD4600 GPU.

Also a resolution? What amount of shared memory were you allocating to your GPU?
