i wouldn't have to do anything unless there are problems with my CMOS battery, like a warning message showing up.

You have a Ryzen 1600 on a 14nm board called AB350 and you are using Gskill RAM. This setup causes problems. You should update your BIOS carefully by following ASRock's specific guide, not just installing the newest version immediately. Some BIOS updates only work with newer CPUs, so stop there at one point. The very first Ryzen release had memory compatibility issues; SK Hynix RAM usually maxed out around 2133MHz, and Gskill Trident-Z or RipJaws V tops out at 2933MHz or 3000MHz based on your timing settings. Since yours says Cas15, it will likely stay at that speed unless you use the "Gearbox" feature to change it—though I don't recommend messing with that. Please update your BIOS in steps, one after another, and try setting XMP or manual modes for 2933MHz/3000MHz instead of trying to force 3200MHz. Check if the changes stick permanently right now, because currently you only see compatibility issues with old bioses that keep resetting back to a safe default.

So I've never done this before. If something goes wrong during the step process, what can I do to go back to how it was? So these are all the bios updates that were below, when i decide to do this, are there any tips you have? i am very inclined to do this as risky as it is. like i said on the post, i've had enough of this issue and want to experience the full $1k i spent correctly, and PCs do genuinely interest me. Am i prone to getting into a boot loop? (its happened to my pc before due to a windows update bug) https://imgur.com/a/1LlErxB

Do you think about Geardown mode now? It only works well with certain things like Even numbers and the setting called CAS. Usually, it makes things feel more stable. Is there too much of Borderlands 3 then? That's funny... wait, don't forget Gearbox!
