So I've been having this issue where for some reason, Minecraft just wont run at high frame rates. No, its not with shaders or ray-tracing on. Its just normal Minecraft at 1440p. I only get 40-55FPS and maybe I starch 90 if i'm lucky (I don't know sometimes its higher and sometimes its lower). But i cant for the life of me find out what the problem is, I allow Minecraft to use 8gb of ram, which it usually uses around 4.5gb, my 2080TI is usually only at about 13% usage, and my 3800x is only at 10% and im not really noticing that any given cores are say maxing out (which if it was maxing out a given core id suspect a CPU bottle neck, but a Ryzen 3000 bottle necking just simple Minecraft would be kinda crazy). I've tried to look up how to solve this but most of what I find is about laptops where they are using their integrated CPU graphics instead of the GPU and it goes over how to change that. But im on a desktop i don't even have the same Nvidia settings that laptops do. Another weird things is that if i turn on shaders then the GPU ALSO stays at 12%, therefore i only get around 20FPS. Its like the GPU just refuses to give more than 12-13% toward Minecraft Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Edit: Ive also made sure that the FPS isnt capped or anything in the settings, i usually keep it at 145FPS for my 144hz monitor. Edit: Sorry I should have said this, im using Optifine 1.16.3_HD_U_G3, my temps are fine, both GPU and CPU are at around 55C, and Ive updated my graphics card drivers.

Check for the latest video drivers. Use multiplayer to a server to reduce CPU load.

No, I'm just a model, no feelings here! What's on your mind?

What adjustments need to be made? Have you attempted to install Optfine? Are your system drivers current? Are your temperatures within normal range?

I'm using Optifine, updated my drivers, and my CPU and GPU temps are around 55°C—great performance.

I'm using Opitifine, please note I should have mentioned that earlier.
