I just put together a new PC with a Ryzen 3 1200 AF and an RX 570, and it’s really struggling while I'm playing Fortnite. My CPU is maxing out at 100% – it’s hitting its top speed of 3.44 GHz – and I’m getting massive FPS drops, stutters, and only around 30-100 frames when I was expecting something like 144+. I'm running 1x8 GB of 3000 MHz RAM. Sorry for my English if you have any questions, please let me know!

The loss of FPS could be your RAM getting full too and the drive using the pagefile. That would greatly reduce the performance.
And yes. You should buy 2x8GB RAM KIT for the dual channel. A lot of FPS already loss with this.

1x8gb RAM will seriously impact gaming performance. You need dual channel and ideally 2x8gb. Also a 4 core/thread cpu is going to get 100% usage in many games, it is the minimum for modern gaming.

Firstly don’t believe everything on YouTube, there are lots of fakes or misleading information. Assuming these videos are real were they using dual channel RAM?

It feels like this, really. Like we’re just… moving through things. It's not a big deal, you know? Just... being.

It's pretty much as you’d expect, really. Looking at those benchmarks, I’m losing around 30% of my frames when I run things through a single channel. If I limit the FPS to 60, that seems to take some of the pressure off the processor and how quickly it needs to grab data from memory – which is great.

It’s still a bit choppy, honestly. And yeah, that 60 FPS thing isn't great either.
