i had an r9 380 and only received a +10 boost on core which is not great. I upgraded to a new rx 580 from sapphire, but still only +10, with a core voltage of 1380. I tried increasing power limits, but it caused crashes and instability. My psu is 550w, which should be sufficient.

Hey there!
Have you verified your temperatures and voltages?
What PSU brand and model do you have?
And which motherboard—brand and model?

Your components are in good condition, but the temperatures are acceptable. Would it be necessary to raise the voltage levels?

That was a good PSU compared to what I had before, I believe it has degraded over time.
You should definitely boost the voltages a bit.
Let's check how much performance you can achieve with this thread: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=161235.0

that was a decent PSU back then, i believe it has worn out over time.
yes, you should increase the voltages a bit.
let's check how far you can get with this thread: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=161235.0
what do you mean by that? i only used this PSU for about 5 months.

Overclocking is a tough job and you need stable voltage.
Try my link and see how much you can get, you should increase the voltage slightly.
