I’m with everyone else on avoiding sketchy markets, but I’d rather buy a key straight from a trustworthy company and pay the premium price. That way, you save money over time and are sure you’re getting a quality key.

Be careful, the Windows 7 product key could match a different version such as Ultimate, Home Premium, or others. Find the correct details for your specific version. If you're unsure, test various Windows 7 versions to see which one works.

G2A is completely useless. Don’t bother using them, it’s just a joke. I discovered this site on Reddit, but so far it’s been okay after purchasing two W10 keys and an office key.

I tried the installation process and encountered an error. The message indicated I needed to skip the COA step and simply click "I don't have a code." Once that was done, I allowed the install to finish automatically. After restarting the system, I navigated to settings > System > About > System Info, changed the product key, and entered the COA. This was done while installing W10 on a 10-year-old NForce 680i laptop using a Dell COA from another computer. Make sure to select the correct flavor, Home/Pro.
