Using any active GPU—whether dGPU, iGPU, or eGPU—is supported. For example, CPUs without an integrated graphics unit (those with F-suffix Intel CPUs) will still display images and BIOS when the dedicated GPU (or eGPU) is connected to the PC and monitor. If MoBo fails to recognize the dedicated GPU but identifies the integrated graphics and the monitor cable, the BIOS should bypass the iGPU disable setting, ensuring the image remains visible.

I keep the iGPU active with my 7950X together with the GTX 4070. During Topaz Video AI sessions, the software utilizes both GPUs, as shown by HWMonitor. Even though the iGPU is weaker than a dedicated card, it helps with video tasks and slightly speeds up transcoding. I really wish for an RTX 5090. I could try installing one of my old AMD RX580 cards to see if Topaz still relies on the iGPU, but getting the RTX4070 is quite difficult.
