Why does my brand new computer take so long to start up? Here are a few ways to fix it...
Ok good morning! I want to share some facts with you... I used to play Fortnite on a laptop back then. But when I started Chapter 3, I got an Xbox Series X because it was too fast for me on the laptop. The game felt laggy and slow then. Later, I switched to a gaming PC because the Xbox had way too much delay. However, even though my new PC is faster than the Xbox, I still feel some delay when playing. My main goal is to feel exactly like it did on my laptop. To show you that difference: on my laptop, I can do triple edits and I am very comfortable doing them. On this new PC, I can only do one or two things, and that feels uncomfortable for me. To explain the delay, here are my specs for both devices... My old laptop was a Lenovo IdeaPad S145 with a Ryzen 5 3500U processor, 12GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD (I don't remember the brand clearly but I think it was Samsung or something). My new PC is an i3-9100F on an Asus Prime B360M motherboard. It has a stock heatsink, an AMD Radeon RX 470 graphics card with 16GB of RAM running at 3200MHz, a Corsair CV450 cooler, a hard drive that is actually HDDs (HGST HTS721010a9e630), and the computer case is an Asus AURA Luminous case. I want to say something important: my laptop was fully optimized after a few days of buying it. After a while using the new PC, I formatted it from scratch and even made sure to optimize everything, ignoring normal tips like installing driver boosters or running them.
My peripherals include this:
- Mouse: Logitech G203
- Keyboard: Faker MACHINIST 01 (which is basically an old G61)
- Headphones: probably a random Chinese pair
- Monitor: Dell P2017H connected via VGA
Please help me out here. I really need to know how to fix this delay in the PC or if you have any other suggestions. Thanks so much for your time!
ok, yeah. you mean what? do you have to use a USB stick to reset windows? because when I just reinstall normally it still doesn't work for me. but maybe if I try a USB install it will get fixed. by the way I have another question... my mom's usb port is 3.1 but my laptop only has 3.2 ports. maybe that could be part of the problem? i think i am going to upgrade to an ssd, a ryzen 5 3600 and a b550 motherboard with 3.2 support... ok nice, i'm not installing Driver Booster on this one either. oh yeah my monitor is not HDMI but VGA... sorry if you got confused about hdmi.
