I bought this SkyTech PC recently and it works well for me, but it makes my roommates' computers slow down a lot. When I play games, the ping is okay at 78 because our internet is bad. But my roommates are getting way too high numbers, like over 600. People told me that maybe my motherboard settings make this PC the main one for the internet and I don't know what that means or how to change it. I thought I had fixed it a couple of weeks ago because things were normal again with small spikes but nothing more than 150. Last night, when we all tried playing together, everyone's pings jumped up to 1000. It didn't go down until I turned off the computer and then their pings went back to around 150. Could anyone tell me how to help with this? If I can't fix it today, I have until tomorrow to send it back. I really don't want to do that because I love this PC, but I hate being able to turn it on without breaking things for others. I turned off the QoS setting and it seemed to help a bit, but maybe there is more I need to try. Here are my computer details: Device name SkyTech Processor 12th Gen Intel Core i3-12100F running at 3.30 GHz with 16 GB of RAM (about 15.8 GB available). The device ID is BEDC6EE7-88B2-411D-B7A6-8BC4BFBFEC6C. It's a 64-bit system running Windows 11 Home, version 22H2 on build number 22621.1105 that was started on January 12th, 2023. I have the Experience Pack which is version 1000.22638.1000.0 installed.

How big is your internet connection? Maybe a little software in the back of your PC is downloading or sending lots of data. You can check the Network tab on the Resource Monitor tool. It would show very clearly if you have a fast connection, like over 100mbps. It's unlikely that your computer has problems with its IP address. Use the command ipconfig /all to see this. Instead of reading all those fields myself, I'll do the same thing on one of my other computers at home when yours is unplugged. See if they look similar mostly. Usually it comes down to a conflict with the IP address or subnet mask. This probably won't happen because you only manually set these things unless you know what you're doing. Normally your router uses DHCP and gives all those settings automatically.

I looked at my network monitor and it was quiet except for Chrome taking most of the bandwidth. Nothing else showed up or seemed to be working fast, like 100 megabits per second. I'll run a couple of commands like IPCONFIG/all to see if something is really off there. I have the default DHCP setup.

You might want to undo any router settings that you've been messing around with, maybe even doing a factory reset just to clear everything out. All quality of service rules need to be limited. If you messed up the configuration wrong, your bandwidth could be very low. Only a few QoS types really help games go better and I doubt you have one if you set priority for a PC.
