I have been having a hard time lately. Every time I turn on my laptop, it asks me which device to use for the start-up. But only Windows 10 is actually installed on my computer. I tried resetting the BIOS settings and reinstalling Windows completely. Even if I changed the BIOS or upgraded it again, the problem keeps happening too. Now Windows isn't working well either. My laptop won't sleep until I close the lid; otherwise, it turns back on almost immediately. This came right after the boot device issue. It says "Please Select Boot Device:" and under that, there is an option called "Windows Boot Manager Enter Setup". Really hoping for some help here. Thank you

Check your computer BIOS to see what happens when you turn it on. Make sure your hard drive is listed as the very first device to start up. If not, change that order and save the changes. Also, ask yourself if your clock changes every time you boot or just once after a mistake?

Thanks for getting back to me. Actually, the time and day work perfectly too. My hard drive is on the very first line with nothing else listed below it.

I suggest reinstalling Windows so you won't have trouble with typing commands, but because I don't know your specific settings or hardware specs, a big error might happen when you start the computer. I did some changes to the system setup in general just in case, though I'm not sure if they will actually help you.

I've already tried deleting everything, reinstalling Windows, and even wiping my hard drive again, but this message keeps showing up.

Hey, I had this exact same problem with my Asus laptop. I thought it was a botched windows update but that wasn't true at all. I don't know why but after I updated my display drivers (Nvidia), this issue was totally fixed. I can't relate the laptop problem to the display drivers though, but that was the only change I made and it worked for me. Just posting this here in case someone else has the same issue.
