Sure, I'll give it a shot and observe the outcome.

I've attempted every solution you mentioned. The error logs remain unclear, and it's becoming increasingly frustrating. Do you have any alternative suggestions?

Hey there,
This seems like a common problem with HDR mode on Windows 11. I've had an HDR monitor too, and it would randomly dim after playing a game. I believe the only solution is to wait for Microsoft to address it. I've tried all the fixes I could think of, but every time it works, I just have to turn off and back on the monitor. It's a bit frustrating but manageable.

I have no problems on Win11 with HDR, unlike in Win10 where the colors were washed out. You can properly calibrate it and use separate color profiles—one for SDR and one for HDR—and they switch smoothly when toggling between them. In Win10 there was nothing like this; SDR content in HDR just disappeared, but on Win11 it looks much better. Even the SDR colors now appear more vibrant with HDR enabled—it’s like boosting digital vibrancy without sacrificing color accuracy.

A small hint, rather than switching off and back on your monitor, just press win/alt/b together to toggle DHR on or off.

I've adjusted my monitor settings, but I still face problems with SDR. The HDR feature keeps shutting down unexpectedly.

Yeah, I remembered that shortcut, but I was too relaxed to try it. It doesn’t affect brightness much now.

In the NVIDIA Control Panel, under "Display > Change resolution > 3. Apply the following settings", choosing "Use NVIDIA color settings" instead of "Use default color settings" causes the "HDR and advanced color" toggle to revert to "Off". Selecting the radio button for "Use default color settings" lets the toggle function as intended.
