Hello, I'm working on fixing some BIOS configurations on my laptop since it often fails to wake from sleep and appears stuck, requiring continuous power button presses until a hard reset occurs. I also observed that the "Fast Boot" option frequently restarts to "[Enabled]" each time I access the BIOS settings. Before exiting, I made sure to choose the right options like "Exit Saving Changes" or "Save Changes." My device is a Lenovo Ideapad 320S-14IKB model running BIOS version 4QCN51WW(V2.15), which is the most recent release.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
My laptop model is a Lenovo Ideapad 320S-14IKB "model" 80X4 with BIOS version 4QCN51WW(V2.15), which is the most recent release.

According to the spec sheet, the device was launched in 2018. Based on my understanding, the CMOS battery is connected to the laptop's main battery. Curious to know if the internal battery was ever replaced during its use? If not, and you're experiencing power issues, it might be a BIOS reset problem.

Thank you! And hmm, the CMOS hasn't been swapped either. I'm not dismissing the possibility of a battery problem, but I don't notice any other CMOS-related signs. The BIOS clock isn't resetting, and all other configurations stay the same after reboots. I even adjusted some settings to check if they'd revert, but they didn't. Just this one case. I'm hoping it's not a BIOS bug since it was last updated in 2020, so that would be great! 😅 I'll consider replacing the battery to test further.
