So this is a multitude of questions for my new upgrade, and Reddit wasn't helping, so I've ended up here, hope I can find some answers Okay, so first, some back story: I recently got a Ryzen 9 7950x3D and have been trying to find a motherboard. The one I picked was the ASUS ROG Strix X670E-E. When selecting it, it says I have to update the bios, but I'm not sure which one to use with the 7950x3D. So that's my first question: If someone could supply a link or even a file, that would help greatly! The second question is, what is wrong with the 7950x3D, on Reddit, there are only people saying bad things about it, but the reviews are great so now I'm just split on what if I made a good purchase. to be fair I did get this CPU on sale down like 200 USD, so that's my second question, is it good or whats your opinion

I didn't search, yet you need to pick the newest option. I don’t know what they’re talking about, but it’s a solid chip. You could hear different things—maybe they’re addressing other issues like AMD’s inter-CCD delays or the 3DV-cache performance problems; I don’t know if it can be overclocked, and the 7800x3D is cheaper but performs better in games. Still, it’s definitely a good one. WHAT? It’s listed at $600 on Amazon (though Amazon isn’t always the cheapest, it gives a sense). From which underground market did you get it? Are you sure you meant USD? For $200, it’s a real bargain.

It's a fairly complex CPU that isn't easy for regular users to set up correctly. It doesn't work like a straightforward plug-and-play model, and it can be frustrating to troubleshoot. If it ran smoothly in Windows, it would be a strong choice, but its performance problems with certain programs and games make it a mixed experience. For those comfortable with the process, it's solid, but for most people, the effort isn't worth it. Additionally, any issues usually require a complete Windows reinstall.

If things go wrong, you’ll likely have to reinstall Windows. Since you’re comfortable with computers but not everything, expect a mix of technical steps and troubleshooting that may require some hands-on work.

It looks like you want a clearer version of your request. You're suggesting a $200 discount on the original $600 price. Let me know if you'd like help with anything else!

It's a solid CPU with some aspects that could reduce its efficiency without adjustments. If you disable half of it, it behaves similarly to a 7800X3D for gaming. Perfect! As I don<|pad|>, it's hard to judge the next step. Between AMD's software and Windows, they need to determine where each task should run across all cores. Accurate setup leads to strong performance. Mistakes hurt, but the results aren't terrible—just a bit complex. From a gaming standpoint, that's why the 7800X3D was popular. No worries, full power. If your workload requires more than eight cores, you'll notice the added speed.

Using the 3D Vcache on just one CCD causes unpredictable results, so from a gaming point of view, the 7800X3D performed better.

It seems you're asking about a comparison, but the details are unclear. Could you clarify what you're comparing? I'll do my best to help.

It's unclear why they mentioned it remains the best for pure gaming.
