Why Crysis 3 ?
This fact highlights that the Fun Fact Crysis Warhead continues to contribute significantly to geometry, surpassing the geometric focus in newer Call of Duty titles.
I think this video gives a great breakdown of why the meme persists even after the game's release: essentially, it was built when developers believed faster single-core CPUs would dominate, not multi-core chips. Unfortunately, silicon had other plans. I still enjoy the game, though—it has some shortcomings like its brief campaign length.
I recall playing with a Sempron and the 8400 back then, likely at 480p, but it was impressive how the computer handled it. I don’t remember the FPS numbers since I wasn’t familiar with monitoring. It ran smoothly enough to finish the game and then Warhead. What surprised me even more was how capable it was for Crysal 2 and 3—far beyond what I thought possible.
You should have noticed it when it was initially unoptimized now you're saying otherwise. Otherwise it gives the impression you were referring to it as generally unoptimized. Either way, I don't want to begin an argument. Have you actually played this? Where are you getting these ideas from? Are you just fabricating this? Many people still use it today to check graphics card performance, including Linus. A game's lack of optimization doesn't mean it's a bad one. It wasn't made by children; it required immense effort. Every line of code was crafted with precision and considered a masterpiece at the time. The engine was built entirely by developers, unlike most other titles, making it truly flawless.
What leads you to this idea? Do you really understand what weak optimization means?
I chose the past tense to reflect completed actions. "Was" and "is" differ in tense, so using the past tense helps convey that events have already happened.
