The Logitech Dual Action G-UF13A DirectInput gamepad has two square zone sticks, while devices like the DualShock use circle zone sticks. It's not unreasonable to lose some zone variation. A clear example is GTA Online, where the sprint key requires diagonal movement, which isn't possible with a circle zone stick.
