Hi, I'm having a weird problem with my notification sounds when using the speaker plugin. It worked yesterday but suddenly stopped working today. Sound on videos like YouTube works perfectly and when I switch to my monitor sound connected via DisplayPort, those notifications work fine too. Unfortunately my monitor speakers are not good enough so I prefer to use my regular speakers which already work perfectly well. I've checked all system settings I can think of and notifications are turned on and apparently my speakers actually do work since I can hear YouTube and Netflix. Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

Have you tried re-installing those audio drivers? If you're using an integrated chip, you probably can't find official ones. Just check your motherboard site to see if they are available there.

You didn't even tell me about this problem before you made me think it was strange! What's going on with those sound notifications?

When I turn on the speaker sound, it doesn't play. But YouTube, Netflix, and other apps work perfectly fine. If I use the Monitor speakers instead of the built-in ones, they all play correctly now.

At last I found something that worked inside the system. It was just an audio fix, which made everything work again. But I don't know exactly why this happened, even though it finally fixed the problem.

It is Windows... nobody ever really knows what causes problems and how they can disappear by themselves... not even Microsoft!
