Why am I getting low frame rates in World of Warcraft?
Hey guys, I got a pretty good setup: an Intel Core i7-11600K at a speed of four point eight, paired with an EVGA 3070 that's slightly overclocked, sixteen gigabytes of thirty-two hundred megahertz RAM, and a solid m.2 ssd drive. I'm using a fourteen thousand four hundred pixel monitor set to ultra settings, and my frame rate in big cities is sixty to seventy frames per second. What's confusing me right now? I'm only using four percent of the cpu, forty percent of the gpu, and seven eight percent of the ram total. I'm stuck here, any tips would be great? Thanks always.
Warcraft is really slow to load and needs lots of power from your processor. Just buying a stronger chip won't help much because the game relies too much on how fast it uses that single core. Also, big cities will lower your frame rate compared to playing outside in nature.
Yeah you are right lol. In dungeons and raids, I get over 125 no worries. But the big city really hurts me. It blows my mind because the CPU or GPU aren't even struggling though. That's a bummer lol. Wonder how the 5800X3D would handle it or if it's worth buying one. Just built my wife a rig with the same gpu but better RAM, and she's getting much higher FPS than me. I wanted to try Intel last year, maybe? But honestly, sticking with Ryzen made more sense, especially after their ban wagon started around the 1600 series.
