Imagine a game where you take on the role of the British warriors resisting the Roman invasion.
After playing The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, I felt it was the most visually appealing title I'd experienced. Ryse stands out as the superior choice. The landscapes surpass anything I've encountered before. It doesn't match the low ratings some have given, nor does it reach an 8/10 mark. The experience feels more like a casual game rather than a challenging one, similar to Dark Souls or Witcher. Crytek would struggle financially if this title were more demanding. It isn't a puzzle-heavy experience that some market as intense. Still, it doesn’t warrant the criticism it received. I’ve already completed it—it’s a compact game. Production quality is evident, but it seemed rushed to meet deadlines. The narrative accelerates quickly at first before slowing down significantly. I wouldn’t mind purchasing it again when it drops in price. A 280+ version performs surprisingly well, debunking the myth that it requires multiple GPUs.
That's a solid suggestion, Linusinium. I'm planning to hold off on this until Black Friday and see if there are any great discounts available.
