The initial title was excellent and likely very affordable. The subsequent one I've only encountered in horror tales—more about the same with terrible audio quality and a weak character selection that leans heavily toward pessimism or even genocide. Exactly what others have said, yet I remain loyal to the first game. Discovering new things is enjoyable and satisfying, its mechanics are smooth, and it had an appealing aesthetic. It's been several years since I played it, so its quality may have faded.
The release was quite disappointing. The performance was poor and the game had many technical issues.
The first game is great, especially with all DLC. It has a Bioshock atmosphere and I dig that steampunk alternative universe. Have yet to buy and play the second.
I finished the first Dishonored without many deaths using full stealth in hard mode—really enjoyed it. In The Knife of Dunwall, I eliminated all characters completely. The game’s atmosphere and design are impressive. I’m planning to get the second installment on Xbox next.
I purchased the first version a few years back for around ten dollars. I went through the campaign once, enjoyed the narrative, but disliked the gameplay—especially since stealth games aren’t my thing. Most of my friends liked it, and I’ve heard the second installment enhances the mechanics significantly.
