I think it's more affordable to upgrade because they hope more folks will switch, and if not, I'm sure my mom will receive about 30 copies for her job—and maybe I'll get a few too!

If upgrading from 8/8.1 is possible at no cost, I'll do it. Otherwise, I still have several Windows 7 installations available.

Windows 10 is a complimentary upgrade for 8.1 users. If I had to spend money, maybe around $30 would be the limit.

Consider upgrading only to 8.1 if it’s available at no cost. But I’ll leave the other systems at version 7.
