Who should win the Rainbow Six Siege: the Syndicate or Rainbow Six?
Game A, or something completely different from Game B, is hard to compare fairly. Jokes aside, it’s tough to say which one you’ll enjoy more since they’re so distinct. If you were asked about a better choice between Quake 3 and UT 3, we could have offered a clearer answer because they share similar genres. Do you prefer fast-paced, competitive multiplayer shooters, or do you favor open-world, cinematic action with stealth elements?
Syndicate demands a lot of visuals. I tried boosting the options but got only 19 frames in some areas. My GTX 970 struggled with those extreme settings. Black Flag performed well on my 7850, which is a relief. This version looks impressive yet sacrifices performance significantly. It outperforms other consoles and includes some useful features, though they come at a price. I’m reverting to higher settings now. The main issue was the Ultra environment setting—it really hurt performance.
Same situation for me too. I got a 980ti and picked Syndicate. I don’t mind the complaints from the crybabies about low frame rates. We own 980tis, and even if we can’t hit all the graphics limits, I still don’t care. Usually tweaking antialiasing makes a big difference, and pushing it too high often hides some details. Another factor was that Seige is only online multiplayer. I’m not into that kind of thing. I prefer a story, voice acting, and a beautiful cityscape over anything else. Playing the game repeatedly feels like a chore—just another routine task with no excitement. Yaaaaawn. A story, characters, and a nice setting would be enough.
