The issue isn’t constant. Neither is the noise itself. It began today and appears sporadic without any clear pattern. Right now, it hasn’t started yet, and it may take a few more minutes or half an hour before it happens again. I’m not sure what’s going on. I could try swapping out the GPU to check if that helps, but since nothing unusual has been done with it today, it seems odd. The rest of the system is only two to three years old and all components are reputable. So far, my attempts to listen suggest the problem might be the GPU or something near the motherboard. I might need to remove parts one by one to figure it out. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to happen reliably either way.

When the noises return, press the center of the hubs on the fans... on the GPU to verify the origin. It was just added—it might be a fan bearing, and the fans are only running when things get warm.

I know you're saying it's not true. This was one of my doubts and led me to turn off the GPU fans when it was warm. I still complained. I checked the case fans and CPU fan—clearly they weren't the same because the noise didn't change during that test. Of course, after sharing this, the issue has stopped completely, even though it had been happening most of the day since noon.

Check if a debug speaker is present on the motherboard. It could be damaged or missing.

I also checked the BIOS settings to ensure all temperature sensor alerts were off. I eliminated CPU-related issues by running Prime95 smoothly without unusual noises. I should test Furmark next to see if it generates any sounds during execution. Meanwhile, my wife is monitoring GPU temperatures and task manager stats to catch any anomalies. I plan to revisit this tomorrow and possibly Wednesday. I’ll resume work tomorrow, though I’m on irregular hours.

Do you recall hearing the audio once more from the video? Is there a storage device in the system that’s quite old? Each time the audio changes pitch, it seems to produce a noticeable click.

Now that you mention it, there are two old ones she owns. One was a 2.5" model I connected to the back of the case, and the larger 3.5" is in the caboose with the PSU. It’s likely one of those. I’ll listen closely to them in the back when the sound resumes.

I’ll definitely look into one of those two options when the opportunity arises!
