White EZ-Debug LED appears on the motherboard of a working PC build.
I own a computer equipped with these specifications:
AMD Ryzen 5500
MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard
Silicon Power 2x8GB DDR4-3200 RAM
ASRock Radeon RX 6600 8GB
Thermaltake SMART 600W
The device performed well for a few weeks before it stopped booting and the EZ Debug LED illuminated white on the motherboard while fans ran. I have already swapped out the CPU with another Ryzen 5500. Any suggestions on what to attempt next? My initial thought was that updating the BIOS might have been necessary, but the system functioned adequately for two weeks.
Is this a fresh installation? If it functioned before it crashed, it might be the PSU, graphics card, memory, or even the motherboard. You can test with one RAM stick at a time. The PSU and GPU will require replacements or temporary fixes to rule them out.
It's a fresh installation. The appearance resembles the CPU LED in the "MSi EZ Debug" configuration on the machine. Considering the CPU has already been replaced, it seems more likely the motherboard failed?
I didn't think the power supply was the issue—since all fans and lights activate, the GPU, RAM, etc., would have triggered their corresponding LEDs in the MSi EZ Debug system.
It might seem like everything I mentioned works, but the CPU light indicates it’s failing to pass through the CPU during the post attempt. Do you have an outdated GPU available, or could you ask a friend for one?
